The National Cyber Safety and Security Standards is conducting “National Health Information Security Programme” in association with “Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India” to improve the Data & Information Security in the medical & healthcare organizations.
It has become increasingly clear that Information Security is a risk factor in health care data. Data breaches cost the health care industry approximately $5.6 billion every year. The Reports says that there was an average of at least one health data breach per day in 2019, attacks that affected more than 27 million patient records.
The National Cyber Safety and Security Standards (NCSSS) in association with various State and Central Governments has taken visionary initiatives to curb and enervate the notoriously spreading cyber threats from various dimensions to safeguard the Nation from the current threats in the Cyberspace towards National Security.
The programme theme is to improve the Data & Information Security in the Health Departments, Medical & Healthcare organizations to safeguard the Medical Digital Data and Critical Infrastructure from the emerging cyber attacks and threats.
